Call for Proposals
The Multicultural Association of Nova Scotia (MANS) is hosting a conference entitled
Creating Bridges: Multiculturalism and Diversity in the 21st Century at the Best Western Chocolate Lake Hotel
in Halifax, Nova Scotia from October 13- 15, 2010.
MANS is inviting proposals for papers or presentations to be delivered at Creating Bridges that address multicultural and diversity research, initiatives or projects within various Canadian settings. Proposals are being considered for the following streams:
- Youth & Teens
- Immigration & Refugees
- Arts & Culture
- Education & Learning
- Multi-Faiths & Spirituality
- Employment & Careers
- Women, LGBTQ, & Differently Abled Communities
- Business & Enterprise
Please ensure papers and presentations are 20 minutes' maximum in duration.
Submission
Include first and last name, postion, organization (if applicable), contact details (including address, telephone and email), proposal title, appropriate stream (first and second choice), and abstract proposal (250 words).
Proposals can be sent to events@mans.ns.ca (please include Creating Bridges in the subject line).
The deadline for abstract proposals is June 4, 2010, but MANS welcomes early proposals in the coming weeks and months.*
Notification of acceptance will be sent by email, and presenters will be supplied with the details for formatting and registering
papers and presentations.
